“I am an elementary principal in Florida. I had the opportunity to hear about Achieve last fall. It was too late to assess our children for the first phase of the test, but we did assess our students in the late fall. We were very pleased with Achieve and the format of the results. The assessment was aligned with our state’s Sunshine Sate Standards, which match our Florida Comprehensive Assessment Test. Achieve gave us the opportunity to see exactly what standards our students were weak in, not only as a school, but as a class, and of course, individually. The reports were very informational and beneficial as we were able to see the strengths and weaknesses. The reports not only let us see the specific standards but let us know what questions on the test matched the standard. We can’t do that with the FCAT, so it was really nice to know if it was test format or truly the standard that was not understood. We are most excited about using the entire Achieve assessment this year by assessing our kids in the beginning of the year. This will give us the opportunity to know our areas of strengths and weaknesses early on and be working toward total mastery. The assessment was very easy to give, the answer sheet very easy to use, and the packaging and return was simple to do as well. The color graphs and reports were outstanding and very beneficial tools for the school and classroom teachers to use. We will be using Achieve again next year.
